one day course called MARCSTA for employment on a mine site in Western
Australia. Its a basic induction into the industry and procedures for

After completing the course most employers will ask for you to do a drug test at your local doctors but check with them as they will usually organise it and pay for it. Also you will need a "Mine Employees Health Surveillance Card" which starts with a basic health check. This is normally organised by your employer as well and paid for by them.
Before you go and looking for a job in the mines, doing a Senior First Aid certificate is very useful as some companies require it as part of the qualifications for a position. Also getting your truck license is very handy to increase your chances of employment.
